Sacred Carrington
Inspired by one of our favorite artists, Leonora Carrington, we created this herbal-ish blend, which like her work and life, is meant to challenge the status quo. While her work is often associated as part of the Surrealist movement, an argument could be made that it transcends this classification.
At its core, her art represents transformation, folklore and magic. Filled with dream-like imagery and spiritual symbolism, it invokes a visual language meant to communicate a deeper primal reverence for that which is sacred.
Paying tribute to Mexico where Leonora spent the majority of her life, along with the rest of Central America from whose traditions she found inspiration, we grounded the blend with roasted cacao, nutmeg and cinnamon before using aromatic yerba santa and lemon peel to lift it towards the heavens.
Slightly caffeinated due to the cacao, this blend does not fit squarely into any the tea categories laid out for it. With notes of chai spice, fennel and popcorn, this tea forges a path of its own, whispering encouragement all along for you to do the same.
Ingredients: Organic cacao nib, organic yerba sante, organic nutmeg, organic lemon peel, organic cinnamon and organic calendula.
Brewing instructions - Use 1 teaspoon per 8 oz of water. Add 212F water and steep for 4-6 minutes.
