Jade Mountain
As you age, it is interesting to watch the development of your taste preferences. What was once palatable as a teen (looking at you Taco Bell), becomes inedible. The desire for bigger flavors, like a Cabernet or Zinfandel give way to more refined experiences, like a Nebbiolo or Pinot. Why would a single note cut it, when you have the harmony of a chord?
For those that have experienced this evolution and are looking for a tea that delivers on all fronts, do we have a tea for you. Crafted at the hands of Fu Chen, a third generation tea farmer and one of the few female Taiwanese Tea Masters, along with one of her daughters, we offer this winter cup of enlightenment.
As a long standing practitioner of Buddhism, Fu Chen imbues each tea she makes with this ethos. From first cup to last, this tea walks the middle path, producing a beautiful balance in body, flavor, finish and energetics. Notes of sugarcane, tuberose and butter cookie wind through, leaving one feeling centered and loving towards all, whether they find joy in a 7 layer burrito or dinner at Pujol.

- Gong Fu - This tea works great in both porcelain and semi porous vessels. Since it is ball rolled, we recommend filling less than a third of the vessel with dry leaf. A transportive experience is also available when brewing grandpa style.
- Western - Use 1 heaping teaspoon per 8 oz of water. Add 195F water and steep for 4-6 minutes. Can be re-steeped a second time, adding 2-3 minutes to the original steep time.
