Forest Floor - Aged Mengla Shu Puer
Our grand cru of shu (cooked) puers, this reflects what can be done with decent material when processed and stored right. Mirroring some of what you will find in aged sheng puers of a similar or earlier age, this tea is beautifully structured with a staying power that grounds the body and will help you see the forest for the trees.
As its name suggests, the tea's flavor and aroma evoke a walk deep into the woods, where the senses are embraced by the circle of life. Notes of white oak, enoki and molasses dance amongst the flora and fauna, celebrating our rightful place in nature and the connection that will always be.

BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
- Gong Fu - This tea works great in both porcelain and semi porous vessels. Since it is large curled chunks of leaf, we recommend filling a third to half of the vessel with dry leaf. Works wonderfully in grandpa style too.
- Western - Use 1 heaping teaspoon per 8 oz of water. Add 212F water and steep for 4-6 minutes. Can be re-steeped a second time, adding 2-3 minutes to the original steep time.
