High Mt. GABA
$5.75
When tea and health trends collide, a saturation is created in the marketplace for that product, often at the expense of quality. GABA oolong is a great example of this. The conventional wisdom is that with the health aspect in mind, most people aren't expecting amazing flavor. And so, a producer or farmer might save their better material for a consumer that has a more discerning palate, like a Taiwanese gao shan oolong fanatic.
But what if you started with high quality leaf? Might you come up with something equally delicious as it is beneficial?
We answer that with our Gao Shan GABA oolong, which deftly balances between a laid back GABA vibe, yet has enough punch to get the party started. Unique to this style of tea, the anaerobic (oxygen-free) fermentation step while flushed in nitrogen, produces a unique flavor that can range from pickled fruit when poorly made to deeper fruit and baked flavors when done right.
With notes of pumpkin bread, vanilla bean and honeysuckle, this tea will keep your stress in check all day, partly due to the fact that this tea will silence even the most fanatical of your tea drinking friends.

BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
- Gong Fu - This tea works great in both porcelain and semi porous vessels. Since it is ball rolled, we recommend filling less than a third of the vessel with dry leaf. Works delightfully in grandpa style too.
- Western - Use 1 heaping teaspoon per 8 oz of water. Add 195F water and steep for 4-6 minutes. Can be re-steeped a second time, adding 2-3 minutes to the original steep time.
